The Avengers star was crushed by the heavy machinery trying to prevent his nephew from being hit by it.

The Nevada sheriff’s office incident report said: “When Renner attempted to stop or divert the [snowplough] to avoid injury to [his nephew], he was pulled under the vehicle by the track and run over.”

The incident took place on New Year’s Day in 2023.

The actor posted to Instagram to celebrate his ‘Rebirthday’, thanking ‘the army of people ‘that it took to put [him] back together again’.

He went on to say: “Thank you to each and every nurse, doctor, first responder… I literally owe you my life.

“All my heart goes out to my beautiful, brave nephew and the angels (my neighbors) who jumped to my aid and endured the chaos for 45 long minutes on the icy asphalt New Years morning.

“I’m so sorry all the haunting images I imprinted on you all (I’ll spare you all from the meat grinding images).

“My gratitude list is very long …. With the amount of love and prayers that flooded in from you all around the world (needing each and everyone of them), my family never leaving my side , with some divine intervention, a bit of luck and a whole lot of miracles … I stand strong again.

“More Open. More Loved. More Connected. And f*cking BLESSED to take my next step, to take MY NEXT BREATH.

“Thank you with every fiber and cell in my body. I love you ALL ❤️.”

Renner stated on a recent episode of the ‘Smartless’ podcast that he no longer has ‘the energy’ or ‘fuel’ to play ‘challenging’ characters after the incident.

He said: “I just don’t have the energy for it. I don’t have the fuel.

“I have so much fuel to put into this reality, this body, all this stuff. I can’t just go play make-believe right now.

“Because that takes a lot of time to get right here every day just so I can have a positive thought, so I can progress, so I can always keep growing.”

Renner returned to act in the filming of the third season of Mayor of Kingstown this year, and told podcast co-hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett that he was ‘terrified’ about returning to acting.

He said: “Because I’m to do, like, f*cking fiction? I’m still trying to live in reality, I’m trying to live. So it was a hard line for me to cross.

“It was a big stretch. It was very, very challenging for me mentally to get over that hump.”

The actor is also set to appear in his first film since the incident when he appears in the new Knives Out film,Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

The Marvel star nearly died in an a freak accident

If anyone is the definition of a warrior, it’s Jeremy Renner.

The Marvel actor, 52, almost lost his life on January 1 2023, in a horrific accident while he was trying to help his nephew.

The incident saw a snowplough – weighing over 14,000 pounds – roll over Renner, leaving him in a ‘critical but stable’ condition.

He suffered blunt force trauma to his chest, meaning the Hawkeye star had to undergo surgery.

Renner also suffered serious injuries to his legs when the snowplough crushed one of them but he was seen up and about on a treadmill just three months after.

It was undeniably close for the actor at one stage – with his doctor saying the machine came ‘within millimetres of hitting a vital organ or major nerve’.

But he’s now well on his way to making a full recovery and has issued a statement on the 12 month anniversary of the life changing ordeal.

Jeremy Renner looked almost unrecognisable after the accident.

“I’m just so blessed that I have so many things to live for,” he told CNN.

“I have a giant family, I have a 10-year-old daughter, I would’ve disappointed and really messed up a lot of people’s lives if I would’ve passed, and so there’s a lot for me to get better for.

“I’m also a pretty stubborn SOB and there was a lot for me to fight for, and recovery was just a one-way road in my mind.”

In recent days, Renner has returned to Reno, Nevada, where the accident took place, and paid a visit to the hospital he was treated at.

Sharing a snap to Instagram of him smiling while in the driving seat of a Rennervation Foundation truck, the Mayor of Kingstown actor said: “Rollin through Reno, NV with joy, blessings, and [pizza]!!!!

The Hawkeye star recently revisited the hospital where he was treated.

“Stopped by to see kids/superheroes , first responders , and doctors, nurses and staff at Renown hospital Paying my respects and celebrating love, life and the blessings it brings to us all.

“Thank you and this community for keeping me here.. I’m forever in your debt with gratitude.”

And his 21 million followers were quick to send Renner their own well wishes for 2024.

One wrote: “We are forever in their debt as well for the amazing work they did for you, as well as the work they do for the community each and every day!

“I’ll bet you made a lot of people’s days, kids and parents alike. Love seeing you paying your blessings forward!”

A second went on to gush: “You truly are a hero to so many! Happy New Year to you and your family.”

Jeremy Clarkson fuming as 100 pub customers ‘steal’ from his business in a single day

The former Top Gear man has had a thing or two to say about his punters

Jeremy Clarkson has hit out at more than 100 punters at his Farmer’s Dog pub after ‘extraordinary stealing’ took place at the venue.

The Clarkson’s Farm star, who has swapped hot rods for tractors, recently spent a cool £1 million on buying a pub in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Situated around 20 minutes away from his Diddly Squat Farm, it has become equally as popular as the farm shop for UK tourists to visit and spend a few quid.

And with the purchase of the pub – found off the A40 at the Asthall Barrow Roundabout at Burford, Oxfordshire – coinciding with filming for season four of Clarkson’s Farm, we can expect to see a good thing or two about the buying process and how the pub took shape, as it was in a rather dilapidated state when Clarkson’s team took over the joint.

But in revealing the true cost of running his pub, Jezza also took aim at customers who aren’t making life easier for him.

In his column for The Sunday Times, the former Top Gear presenter revealed it costs him £100 a day to run the generator powering the pub and its kitchen.

Then on top of that, you’re looking at £400 per week to run the patio heaters outside the pub. And on top of that, an eye-watering £27,000 a month – yes, month – is spent on parking and traffic marshals ‘to keep the council off his back’.

But on top of that, Jeremy said that inside the pub, the ‘theft’ from customers is ‘extraordinary’.

“The theft, for example, is extraordinary,” he explained.

“People seem to have it in their heads that if they come in for a pint they are entitled to go home with the glass in which it was served.

“Last Sunday, 104 went missing.”

Yep, people are taking the Hawkstone pint glasses home with them.

Pints aren’t too unreasonable, either, priced between £5.50 and £6 depending on what tipple you’re after. So no different to a major city in 2024, with the beer also being award-winning.

But the glasses are something Clarkson actually sells on his Hawkstone website at £8.50 per glass.

So instead of customers buying those 104 stolen glasses – which would have brought in £884 to the business – they cost them a nice profit plus the cost of having to replace them.

On business costs, Clarkson said: “The customers are coming. There’s no problem there. But turning their visits into a profit is nigh-on impossible.”

We’ve no doubt the issue will feature heavily in season five of Clarkson’s Farm, which we can expect some time in 2026.

The Holiday favourite last appeared on screen as Miss Colleen Hannigan in 2014’s Annie

Cameron Diaz has been a bona fide Hollywood darling since making her feature-film debut beside Jim Carrey in 1994’s The Mask.

Following her role as Tina Carlyle in the blockbuster, the 52-year-old went on to appear in classics like My Best Friend’s Wedding, voiced Princess Fiona in the Shrek franchise and played Natalie Cook in 2000s Charlie’s Angels and its sequel, Full Throttle.

Now if you cast your mind back to 2014, Diaz was having a blinder of a year.

She was Carly Whitten in The Other Woman, Annie Hargrove in Jake Kasdan’s Sex Tape and Miss Hannigan in the Annie reboot.

But after stepping out as the matron of the iconic Hudson St Orphanage, Diaz mysteriously went silent.

A decade later, the Californian has lifted the lid on why she decided to suddenly quit Hollywood and exit the spotlight.

The confession comes as Diaz gears up to make her return to the silver screen with the aptly titled action comedy flick, Back in Action.

The mother-of-two will play former CIA spy Emily opposite Jamie Foxx’s Matt as she and her partner are forced to return to work after their secret identities are exposed.

Back in Action, directed by Seth Gordon, is set to debut on Netflix on 17 January 17 and comes ahead of Shrek 5’s cinematic release in July 2026.

The direct sequel to 2010’s Shrek Forever After will see Diaz reprising her voice role as Princess Fiona alongside Mike Myers as the titular Dreamworks character and Eddie Murphy as their noble steed, Donkey.

Making it a hat-trick, Diaz is also currently filming the Apple TV+ movie Outcome.

The Jonah Hill-directed project is billed as a black comedy and will star The Holiday alumna in an unnamed role.

The star-studded also cast includes Keanu Reeves, Laverne Cox and Bottoms’ Kaia Gerber.

So with her triumphant industry return on the horizon, why did Diaz move away from the limelight in the first place?

Appearing at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in California earlier this week (October 14), Diaz admitted bowing out was just ‘something’ she had to do.

“It felt like the right thing for me, to reclaim my own life, and I just really didn’t care about anything else, I didn’t.

“And nobody’s opinion, nobody’s success, no one’s offer, no one’s anything could change my mind about my decision of taking care of myself and building the life that I really wanted to have,” she continued, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

The actress continued to claim that building a family became something she was ‘passionate about’ and that working in the industry no longer ‘fed her soul’.

Thankfully, it appears the star has re-found her spark, with all eyes now on Diaz’s imminent return.

The fan’s visit to Diddly Squat Farm was different to most others for one reason

Season three of Clarkson’s Farm is now fully out and available to watch, with the fanbase of the show continuing to grow.

The Amazon Prime Video farming show continues to be a worldwide hit as unlike Clarkson’s days on Top Gear, almost anyone can get into Clarkson’s Farm as more people are made aware of the hardships farmers go through.

While Clarkson has admitted that he is at ‘always’ at the farm ‘these days’, it is unlikely that you will see him if you visit the famous Diddly Squat Farm Shop.

Fans have also recently spoken out about their experiences visiting the farm, with most admitting that they haven’t seen the 64-year-old at all, despite some visiting multiple times.

But one super fan has recently made the trip to the UK from the US just to visit Diddly Squat, labelling it as ‘one of the best days’ of his life.

Saying it was a day they would never forget, the Reddit user shared their experience on the social media app.

The story also included a small thank you note to Clarkson, as the fan has been watching him for 11 years, saying that he has helped them get through tough times through his shows.

The fan wrote: “Waited in the queue for about 90 minutes on Saturday and it was so worth it as we got a glimpse of Clarkson himself with Arya and Sansa and the black Range Rover.

“I’ve been watching Clarkson since 2013, since the Top Gear days and now with The Grand Tour and Clarksons Farm,” they revealed, already having a different experience to the vast majority of the people who have visited.

“Finally being able to visit the farm and see Clarkson (from a far distance) was such a surreal experience,” the fan admitted.

Saying that they grew up watching Clarkson alongside Richard Hammond and James May, they admit they’ve also grown to love his co-stars on Clarkson’s Farm now too.

Crediting Clarkson’s ‘banter and humour’ as well as his bickering with others for getting them through hard times, the super fan showed their gratitude to the presenter.

“From the bottom of my heart I just want to say thank you to Clarkson and his crew for helping me get through some seriously s****y times, you’ve made me realise that there’s more to life and there’s so much to enjoy,” they posted.

The fan then revealed that they bought ‘a pint of Hawkstone Lager, Cow Juice, Bee Juice Rum and Smoked Chili Mayonnaise as memorabilia’ from the Diddly Squat Farm Shop.

They also detailed that the show has educated them on how hard farming can be and how crucial it is to support local farmers, wherever you’re from.

The user then signed off by wishing the Diddly Squat team and other farmers across the country good luck.

“It’s a tough job and they need all the support that they can get from us and the government. Keep up the good work Kaleb, Lisa, Gerald, Charlie, Clarkson and the rest of the Diddly Squat Crew (and the other UK farmers!!!),” they concluded.
