McDonald’s lovers get ready, as the fast-food giant is getting ready to overhaul its menu for the New Year.
As the festive season once again winds to a close McDonald’s restaurants up-and-down the country are marking the occasion with a new menu – which means today (5 January) is your last chance to pick-up seasonal treats such as a Big Tasty, Terry’s Chocolate Orange McFlurry or Cheese Melt Dippers for the foreseeable future.

But fear not, as the plenty of replacements will be available – including one brand new item to sink your teeth into.
Here is everything joining the McDonald’s menu from tomorrow (6 January).
The Chicken Katsu One wrap

The Chicken Katsu One wrap (McDonald’s)
Of course, the big ticket item is the introduction of the Katsu Chicken wrap. Many of you may remember the hugely popular Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets in 2021, which devastated punters when they left the menu, so this item is likely to be a popular one.
The Chicken Katsu One will come with the choice of wither grilled or crispy chicken coated in katsu sauce, crispy onions, cucumber, and fresh lettuce – all wrapped up in a warm toasted tortilla.
Available for £3.49 as a single item, £5.29 with a meal or £1.99 on a Wednesday.
BBQ Ranch Stack

If a Katsu Chicken wrap isn’t your thing don’t worry, as a new BBQ Ranch Stack is also heading your way. Featuring two beef patties topped with Emmental cheese, lettuce, bacon, crispy onions, ranch and sweet BBQ sauce in a glazed sesame seed bun, this option is a perfect choice for burger lovers.
Available for £5.19 as a single item or £6.99 with a meal.
Milky Way McFlurry

Forget about the Terry’s Chocolate Orange and Galaxy Caramel McFlurry’s as you can now tuck into a Milky Way option instead. The dessert features McDonald’s signature ice-cream alongside milk chocolate stars, malt flavoured pieces and chocolate sauce.
Available for £2.19.
Mozzarella Dippers

McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse

Another returning item is the McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse. Like the standard McCrispy, the Smokehouse contains a deep fried breaded chicken breast with a smoky BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, red onion, lettuce, all in a sourdough-style sesame topped bun. The burger will be sticking around on the menu until 6 May.
Available for £5.79 as a single item, £7.49 with a meal.
What’s leaving the McDonald’s menu?
It’s time to wave goodbye to items such as the Big Tasty, Cheesy McCrispy and the Cheese Melt Dippers will leave the menu tomorrow. As well as festive treats such as the Terry’s Chocolate Orange McFlurry, Galaxy Caramel McFlurry, Terry’s Chocolate Orange Pie, Galaxy Caramel Latte and Galaxy Caramel Hot Chocolate.

McDonald’s is hoping to ease the January blues with a new-look menu for 2025.
The fast-food giant say it’s introduced three new dishes ‘offering unbeatable flavour and prices’, starting from £1.99.
Now, McDonald’s fans may remember that, in 2021, the eatery launched Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets, which proved to be pretty popular.
In 2025, however, they are promising to take things up a notch with a more substantial version of the Japanese/American dish.
New McDonals’s menu items
The Chicken Katsu One wrap

If you enjoyed the nuggets, it could be worth giving their new ‘The Chicken Katsu One’ a go for just £1.99 on Wednesdays.
Customers will have a choice of crispy or grilled chicken, coated in katsu sauce, crispy onions, cucumber, and fresh lettuce.
This will all be wrapped in a toasted tortilla.
BBQ Ranch Stack

The new BBQ Ranch Stack features two beef patties topped with Emmental cheese, lettuce, bacon, crispy onions, ranch and sweet BBQ sauce, all in a glazed sesame seed bun.
Maccies says this is a good option for those who ‘favour beef over chicken’.
Milky Way McFlurry

Also new on the menu is the Milky Way McFlurry.

Returning dishes
McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse

The first item returning to the McDonald’s menu is the McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse.
Giving similar vibes to the McCrispy, it consists of a deep fried breaded chicken breast with a smoky BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, red onion, lettuce, all in a sourdough-style sesame topped bun.
This will be available until 6 May.
Mozzarella Dippers

The good ol’ Mozzarella Dippers are also back in action, sticks of Mozzarella cheese coated in breadcrumbs and served with Salsa dip.
The fish is available now until 25 March as a three piece collection or nine piece sharebox.
Reacting to the new menu, one fan said: “They need to leave the Big Tasty in the menu permanently.”
Another added: “Bring back the hash brown bites permanently so people have a choice, also the breakfast bagels!!!
“In America they still do the breakfast bagels and more breakfast options like the scrambled eggs etc and more option for lunch/dinner menu, don’t know why we can’t have them options here in the UK.”
While someone else pointed out: “They are more affordable than any other fast food chain already.”

A recently added, never-seen-before burger is being dropped from the McDonald’s menu tomorrow (16 July).
Yep, just when you might have already started planning your cheeky end of the week takeaway, the Maccies menu is about to change.
The popular fast-food chain will be celebrating it’s 50th birthday in the UK this month, with a brand new dessert item hitting the menu as well as special McFlurries, the return of popular burgers and special cheese dippers.
So with this new menu landing in McDonald’s restaurants on Wednesday, it means it’s bye-bye to the special Euro 2024-inspired burger.
I mean, after last night’s defeat to Spain, you might never want to eat the special football-themed meal anyway. A bitterly tasty reminder of what could have been for the Three Lions.

The Hat Trick is leaving. (McDonald’s)
Maccies launched ‘The Hat Trick’ at the end of the May, just in time for people to scran it for the footie. In case you’ve not yet tried it, the burger features three beef patties, two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard and ketchup sandwiched between a glazed sesame seed bun.
Still available until tomorrow, the burger is priced at £5.89 on its own and at £7.69 as a medium meal. ‘The Hat Trick’ was also joined by Mozzarella bites on the menu, along with Skittles and Galaxy Caramel McFlurries.
However, they’ll all be removed after tomorrow to make way for the special birthday menu on Wednesday.
So, don’t start getting too upset about the loss of the footie burger yet, as it’s the return of the Mac! The big, Big Mac.
Oh, yes. The Double Big Mac® and Double Big Mac® with Bacon are both rejoining the menu this week with their whopping four 100 percent beef patties.

The McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse is returning. (McDonald’s)
Those fan-favourites are priced at £5.39 and £6.19 or as meals for £7.19 and £8.09.
Plus, making its first reappearance at Maccies in around nine months, the McCrispy® BBQ Smokehouse is coming back.
Consisting of a crispy coated 100 percent chicken breast fillet, smoky BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, red onion and lettuce, that’s priced at £5.59 or £7.49 as a meal.
Plus, there’s going to be a Birthday Cake Donut as the ‘star of the show’ for this special McDonald’s 50th birthday menu. A classic doughnut ring shape, it features a strawberry flavoured filling with buttercream-flavoured icing and colourful sprinkles.
Priced at £1.99, McDonald’s will donate 20p from every Birthday Cake Donut sold to Ronald McDonald House Charities UK.

The day has finally arrived for McDonald’s to drop their brand new menu – and although all the items are strong contenders, the never-before-seen burger might sweep the board.
The fast food giant is bringing in a string of new snacks which are expected to be summer staples for Brits who fancy a bite to eat while enjoying the hot weather or watching the Euros.
Between the ‘Surprize Fries’ promotion, the changes to Happy Meal boxes and the brand new £3 meal deal option, there’s a lot going on at McDonald’s at the moment.
But now, the eight new menu items are set to steal the spotlight as they are introduced today (29 May).
Stars of the show include the Chicken Sharebox – filled with six chicken selects, six chicken nuggets and four dips – for £10.59 as well as the 9 Chicken Select Sharebox for £8.49.
Mozzarella bites are also making a comeback and cost £2.39, while McDonald’s fans can also enjoy a Skittles or Galaxy Caramel McFlurry for £2.19, as well as a Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie for just £1.99.
But the most popular product by far is set to be the brand new burger which is joining the menu today.

Dubbed ‘The Hat Trick’, the football-themed item is packed with three beef patties, two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and ketchup, which is all sandwiched between a glazed sesame seed bun.
For just £7.69 for a medium meal and £5.89 as a single item, it’s definitely worth a try if you’re a Maccies fan who likes things that come in threes – like a hat trick.
As one door opens, another closes though and Brits will have to say goodbye to 12 beloved snacks today too.

The Chicken Big Mac, the Quarter Pounder, the Cheese & Herb Melts, the Galaxy Chocolate Mini McFlurry are among the items being axed to make room for the summer selection.
The condiment range at McDonald’s is also getting a makeover, as customers can pick up some of the new and improved dips which are ‘the perfect chicken companion’ including Garlic Mayo as well as Sweet and Smoky BBQ.
All of this might scupper our plans to have banging summer bodies, but as we all know too well, these menus don’t stay the same for long – so go and treat yourself to The Hat Trick while you can.

McDonald’s fans rejoice, as the Saver Menu is getting a brand new burger next week – which promises to bring a touch of spice to their cost-cutting offerings.
Fans of the famed Golden Arches have been treated to some major new additions the menu in recent weeks, with the legendary McRib recently making its long-awaited comeback after a decade in the wilderness.
However, the iconic sandwich sadly won’t be becoming a permanent fixture at restaurants.
However Ronald McDonald can hear your devastation from up and down the country and has promised to soften the blow by bringing a brand new burger to UK and Irish stores.

The new product will launch on 6 November (Peter Dazeley/Getty Images)
What is the newest burger to join the McDonald’s Menu?
Launching on 6 November (which is just over a week away) is the Chilli Double Cheeseburger, which promises to ‘tantalise taste buds without breaking the bank’.
The burger comes with two 100 percent British & Irish beef patties, two slices of cheese, onions, jalapenos, pickles and spicy relish all in a soft, toasted bun – bringing a flavoursome kick to the menu staple.
This will be the first time the burger has been sold in the UK, however it is already a popular item over in South Africa.
However, the best part of the new burger is undoubtably the price, with the Chilli Double Cheeseburger set to be retailing for just £2.49 in restaurants across the UK and Ireland. Talk about a winter bargain!
Punters will be delighted to hear the Saver Menu is also getting revamp, which means there will be plenty of options to tuck into while enjoying a break from the tedious crowds while you’re doing the dreaded Christmas shopping.

There is not too much longer to wait until McDonalds launches its famed Christmas Menu – with 2023’s festive offerings landing towards the end of November.
There’s no word on what 2024’s menu will bring (last year saw the restaurant wheel out their Cheesy Melt dippers, Big & Cheesy Burger with Bacon and Chicken Big Mac) but stay tuned and enjoy the final weeks of the spooky Halloween offerings.
