Popular YouTuber P2istheName – whose real name was Philip Enewally – has died at the age of 26, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
Enewally was found dead on Friday afternoon in a “mailroom”, though authorities have yet to determine a cause of death.
His mother confirmed his passing, asking for privacy as the family grieves. She encouraged fans to visit his YouTube channel to honor his memory.
The investigation remains ongoing, the Daily Mail reports.
Rising YouTube Star and Entrepreneur
Enewally first gained popularity through his NBA 2K and Fortnite gaming videos, amassing millions of views and building a following of 3.86 million subscribers on the platform.
“P2” later expanded his content to include Let’s Play walkthroughs, pranks, skits, and personal vlogs, offering fans a glimpse into his daily life.
Recently, Enewally had branched out beyond YouTube, launching his own clothing line, DontMindUs.
Tributes Pour In from Fans and Fellow YouTubers
The news of Enewally’s passing has shaken the online gaming community, with fellow YouTuber COLETHEMAN taking to social media to share his grief.
“My good friend @P2istheName has passed away… wow. I’m honestly at a loss for words. He was always so kind to me and gave me so much content creation advice. May he rest in peace. This breaks my heart,” he wrote in a post on X.
Fans also expressed their sorrow, with one commenting: “This man was my childhood, I still can’t believe this is real. May he rest in peace.” Another wrote: “Never been touched by a celebrity’s death like this one.”
Enewally’s last YouTube video was shared two weeks ago, and has since been flooded with tributes in the comments section from devastated fans.
“I pray that he made it in heaven and at ease now from this fallen world. I pray his family find peace through this mourning loss,” one person commented.
Another added: “Rest easy man thank you for all the good content you brought to us”.
Plans to Move to Atlanta
In one of his final uploads, Enewally revealed his plans to leave Los Angeles for Atlanta. His recent videos showed him packing up his belongings and shipping out the last of his merchandise orders with his Tesla Cybertruck.
Despite his continued work, Enewally had spoken candidly about the struggles of being a content creator. He opened up about feeling “lost” on YouTube, reflecting on his declining viewership and uncertainty about the future of his channel.
While his recent videos averaged 20,000 to 60,000 views, his earlier uploads regularly reached millions of viewers.
