Wildfires across California have forced over 100,000 people to evacuate their homes, including some of Hollywood’s biggest names.
A state of emergency was declared by the governor of the American state after a wildfire went out of control, spreading across Los Angeles.
The flames have destroyed houses and scorched the land, as strong winds helped the fire progress.
There are now at least six wildfires, the BBC reports, including one that made its way through the Pacific Palisades area of LA.
This area is known for being the home of many celebrities, who were forced away from their homes after the area was ablaze on Tuesday night (7 January).

At least five people have been killed and over 1,000 structures have been destroyed so far, officials have said, as per AP.
Residents in the area were made to flee the apocalyptic conditions that arrived in their aesthetic neighbourhoods, as the fires were helped along by wind gusts up to 70 mph.
This made it too difficult for aircraft to combat the fire from above, though this began on Wednesday morning (8 January).
Now, several A-listers have been left without a home after their property was devastated by the conditions, which firefighters continue to combat.

“While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family is safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires.
“To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets. My heartaches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses.

James Franco has recently spoken out about he was ‘cast out’ of Hollywood, as well as touching upon his friendship with long time creative partner Seth Rogen.
Franco is well known for starring in comedies such as Pineapple Express, The Interview, as well as more serious roles such as 127 Hours, and his part as Tommy Wiseau in The Disaster Artist.
Despite this and roles in cult classic Freaks and Geeks, as well as the Sam Raimi Spider-Man films, he has been excommunicado from Hollywood for several years.

What did James Franco do to be ‘cast out’ of Hollywood?
While it didn’t cause him being cast out, controversy first shrouded Franco after he admitted to ‘chatting up’ a 17-year-old in 2014.
The teenager posted messages between the pair on Instagram when he was 35, showing him trying to meet her in a hotel room, even after being told she was 17. Franco chalked this up to social media being ‘tricky’.
Controversy continued, however, in 2018 when the Los Angeles Times revealed that five women had accused Franco of sexually inappropriate or exploitative behaviour.
All five women were either students of Franco’s, or he was serving as their mentor.
These allegations were not the only ones laid against Franco either, as former Freaks and Geeks co-star Busy Phillips accused him of screaming at her and ‘violently’ shoving her to the ground while filming a scene.
In addition, a former co-worker Ally Sheedy hinted on twitter that she had quit acting due to working with Franco, and a former girlfriend claimed he ‘forced’ her to perform oral sex on him in a car.

What has James Franco said about the various allegations?
When sexual misconduct allegations first arose during his awards campaign for The Disaster Artist, Franco denied these on The Stephen Colbert Show.
He was sued by two of his former students, who alleged he ‘sought to create a pipeline of young women who were subjected to his personal and professional sexual exploitation in the name of education’.
The matter was settled out of court to the tune of $894,000.
Franco admitted in a 2021 interview on Jess Cagle Podcast that he had slept with his students in the past, saying it ‘was wrong’.
He went on to say: “I suppose at the time, my thinking was: If it’s consensual, it’s OK.”
He claimed, however, that the idea he had set up his school to create a ‘pipeline’ was ‘not why [he] started that school.’

What has James Franco said about his relationship with Seth Rogen and return to Hollywood?
In his new interview with Variety, Franco opened up about his claim he was ‘cast out’ of Hollywood.
He said: “Being told you’re bad is painful. But ultimately, that’s kind of what I needed to just stop going the way I was going.
“I’m so grateful to be working. I did go through a lawsuit, and during that lawsuit I wasn’t working.
“But then COVID hit so everybody wasn’t working. So, I don’t know, it was all… I mean, we were all kind of in it. So it was sort of like, ‘I don’t know what I am’.”
When asked about his relationship with fellow comedian and actor Seth Rogen, Franco said: “No. I haven’t talked to Seth. I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I guess it’s over.

“And not for lack of trying. I’ve told him how much he’s meant to me.”
When the allegations first arose, Rogen stood by Franco, before later telling The Sunday Times: “What I can say is that I despise abuse and harassment, and I would never cover or conceal the actions of someone doing it, or knowingly put someone in a situation where they were around someone like that.
“I also look back to that interview in 2018 where I comment that I would keep working with James, and the truth is that I have not, and I do not plan to right now. I don’t know if I can define that [our friendship] right now during this interview.”
Franco will soon star in his first film since 2019, titled Hey Joe.
Emma Stone has had more iconic roles than you can shake a stick at over the years thanks to her incredible acting abilities, but sadly, there are a few gigs she didn’t get while trying to forge out her career.
Obviously, she managed to pave a way for herself in Hollywood in the end anyway, however, the road to success wasn’t exactly easy for the Spider-Man star.
But I’m sure those two Oscars sitting on her mantlepiece now more than make up for all the knock backs she received while auditioning for parts in her younger years.
As fans of the actress, 35, will already know, Stone dreamt of becoming a star on the big screen since she was just four years old and tried out for a number of TV shows as a child.
After failing to get her big break and dropping out of high school to concentrate on her career plans, she prepared a PowerPoint presentation for her parents titled ‘Project Hollywood’ to convince them to let her move to California.

Low and behold, it worked – and Stone moved into an apartment in Los Angeles with her mother at aged 16.
The Arizona-born actress said she auditioned for ‘every single show on Disney Channel‘ and to ‘play the daughter on every single sitcom’ but ultimately ‘ended up getting none’.
Stone isn’t shy to admit that these rejections stung, but there is one TV gig that she missed out on which still pains to this day.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, the Superbad star opened up about the role which she didn’t get that she was most ‘devastated’ about.
She said she was devastated (NBC)
Stone told the comedian: “When I was auditioning in LA when I was…I think I was 15 at this time, I got a couple callbacks for Friday Night Lights for Coach Taylor’s daughter.
“I was totally devastated that it didn’t work out.”
Instead, actress Aimee Teegarden ended up getting chosen to play Julie Taylor in the beloved US sports drama.
Stone said it ‘would have been so crazy’ if she did end up getting cast in Friday Night Lights as it would have meant she was working alongside her Kinds of Kindness co-star Jesse Plemons, who played Landry Clarke in the sitcom.
She continued: “But then we met 20 years later on this [Kinds of Kindness]. And, he’s going to be in the next movie, too – spoiler alert!”
I tell you what, the universe just has a way of forcing certain people together, doesn’t it?
There was a time when Lindsay Lohan was absolutely everywhere we looked, but that all came to an abrupt stop when she suddenly gave up the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles in favour of a quiet life.
The legendary actor hightailed it out of Hollywood in 2012 after spending more than a decade in the spotlight and keeping a string of tabloid magazines in business with her party-girl behaviour.
She first entered the entertainment industry when she was just three years old, so it’s no wonder she’d had enough when she hit her mid-20s and scarpered off to London.
The Parent Trap star, 37, was in multiple movies, releasing music, and taking on coveted presenting gigs all while battling personal and legal issues which the public were very aware of – so who can blame her for trying to find solace in the UK capital?
She previously described the move as the ‘best thing’ she has ever done for herself, explaining that she had grown tired of ‘keeping up’ with life back home across the pond and preferred to try and blend into the background in London.
Since then, Lohan now calls Dubai her full-time home and leads a lowkey but luxurious lifestyle with her husband Bader Shammas and their baby boy Luai, who was born in July last year.

And she now feels ready to reveal the real reason behind why she disappeared from Hollywood for more than a decade.
The Mean Girls star explained that although she was bending over backwards to fulfil her work commitments, it seemed that the stories the press were spinning about her were of more interest to the majority of people.
She told Bustle: “I feel like some of [my work] got overshadowed by paparazzi and all that kind of stuff when I was younger, and that’s kind of annoying. I wish that part didn’t happen.
“I feel like that kind of took on a life of its own. So that’s why I wanted to disappear. I was like, ‘Unless there’s no story here, they’re not going to focus on just my work’.”
Lohan said that the landscape of Hollywood is a lot different these days, especially as social media allows celebrities to have ‘control of their own story’ and reclaim the narrative that may be being perpetuated by the media.
Instagram/@lindsaylohan
She still doesn’t ‘pay attention’ to tabloids and any salacious stories that emerge in the press, saying: “I know how it works, so there’s no point.
“And if you immerse yourself in that stuff, you’re just going to get lost, and it can just do so much to you.”
The Freaky Friday alum praised fellow Y2K queens Britney Spears and Paris Hilton for ‘taking their power back’ by releasing memoirs and documentaries, but said her ‘story isn’t finished yet’, so there won’t be one from her anytime soon.
But Lohan declared she isn’t scared of stepping foot in Hollywood, despite the negative experiences she had which dictated her early life.
She said she and her husband intended to ‘spend more time’ in the US in the future – although they won’t live there, as they aren’t in a rush to ditch their Dubai lifestyle…especially as paparazzi is illegal there.
Olympic breakdancer Raygun has gone viral once again, this time for being impersonated by a Hollywood actress on one of the most most popular late night talk shows in the US.
Real name Rachael Gunn, the 36-year-old debuted in the 2024 Paris Olympics, representing her native Australia in the women’s breaking competition.
A university lecturer by day at Macquarie University in Sydney, she goes by Raygun when competing in breaking – or breakdancing, as you’re probably more likely to know it by.

Her appearance at the Paris Olympics was hands down the most viral moment of the entire Olympiad, with people unable to stop watching her routine. Many have taken to social media platforms like TikTok to do their best impression of the Aussie’s routine, which goes pretty much how you’re imagining it.
And now it has gone one step further than this after one Hollywood actress decided to impersonate the viral moment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
After going through Raygun’s exploits during his opening monologue, Fallon asks: “Where’s that music coming from?”

The curtain then opens behind him and out comes American actress and comedian Rachel Dratch. Known for her improv work on Saturday Night Live, she’s also appeared in numerous shows such as 30 Rock and films including Click, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Sisters, and Wine Country.
The routine left viewers in stitches as Dratch did her best impression of Raygun’s routine, including impersonating a kangaroo and getting on the floor to do some of the more unusual moves that can’t quite be categorised. Fallon joins in the routine in classic late night chat show style.
Countless viewers were praising Dratch for her impression of the Aussie breakdancer.
“I knew Rachel Dratch would be perfect to do Raygun,” one commented.
A second sarcastically wrote: “As an Aussie I’m telling you we may have had a shot if Rachel Dratch was representing us.”
And a third said: “I can also forgive Raygun for embarrassing my country so hard thanks to how much this made me laugh.”
Another posted: “Give Dratch any and all reasons to appear.”
Others said that it helped showcase the talent in Raygun’s original routine, with one writing: “Honestly, Rachel Dratch just making it clear that Raygun has skills.”

As for the reaction to Raygun, her family have since spoken out on the routine going viral.
Andrew Free, Raygun’s father-in-law, posted: “It was a pretty stacked competition and the judges were clearly looking for a certain style of breaking which is not Rachael’s.
“Although they are supposed to mark five different aspects with each having the same weighting, in my obviously biased opinion they did not reward originality and musicality so she was up against it.
“The main thing is she represented Australia and breaking at the Olympics with courage and dignity.”
The channels of social media are now rife with continued discussion around the routine, as some give notice
